Private Coaching Partnership

The Private Coaching Partnership is approximately a six-month coaching experience for parents who want more than a clear plan of action, they want sustained guidance, accountability and support as they navigate challenges with their emerging adult. We will begin with deeper foundational sessions to understand what brought you here, clarify your goals, and identify the patterns keeping your family stuck.

We will move into a customized coaching rhythm based on your family's needs, helping you communicate more calmly, set and hold healthier boundaries, respond with more confidence, and create a more respectful, workable path forward.

This program includes private coaching with Kim, email support through the duration of the program, and membership in the Empowered Parents of Emerging Adults Group, Kim's twice weekly online support for parents of emerging adults.

If your emerging adult wants to participate in private sessions, they are welcome to join when appropriate, though Kim will always begin by meeting with the parent or parents first.

What People Are Saying:

If you would have told me a year ago that by investing in my parenting I could make the kind of changes I was able to make in the relationships with my sons (instead of always thinking it was something they were not doing....or doing wrong) I would not have believed you. Kim was the sounding board I needed to decipher what was MY work to do, and what I had to let my kids figure out for themselves. I really didn't think it was possible to have a better relationship with my two sons, we'd been fighting for months. I'm glad I took the time, put in the work, and made the investment in my parenting...even at this late date!

JF, Dad of 2 adult sons

I learned a lot about myself in the process of getting some much needed coaching from Kim. You can tell she listens to understand and she was able to get to the heart of what was really going on in our family. Not only that, she helped my husband and I start talking the same language to our three 20-somethings, I thought this was a lost cause. We'd tried both marriage counseling and family therapy in the past but coaching was different...and [thank God] in our case, more effective. While our relationships with our kids still aren't perfect (and I'm not sure that's possible anyway), we've learned how to talk so they will listen, and listen so they are willing to talk with us. Problem solving together has been greatly improved since we've had Kim's guidance. I recommend her services!

KM, mother of 3 emerging adults

When I think of the amount of money we spent trying to get our daughter the "right" or best help over the years, thinking we were doing all we could, it makes me sad. Now I realize that while she needed help, so did we! The unbiased, calm, trusted space Kim provides in her sessions have truly helped us to see the core issues with our daughter, and we have developed better communication skills with her, and we were finally able to set and adhere to the boundaries we'd needed all along. I just wish we'd have known about Kim's coaching sooner. I'd recommend your services to any parent who is at a loss on how to work with their emerging adult with mental health challenges.
